This illustration is a direct observational study of the human skull using
carbon dust as the meduium. The purpose of this image is to teach students the external structures
of the human skull.

After researching information on the anatomical external structures of the skull, a plastic skull replica was posed, and a clear grid was place in front. Then by using the grid as reference points, the skull was drawn out with anatomical structues labeled.
